A Note From Cole Hayes

I grew up on a farm outside of Charlotte and earned a degree in accounting, graduating in the midst of the Great Recession.  Facing surging unemployment rates and economic downturn, I decided to attend law school.  There, I discovered my passion for advocacy.

I graduated in the top of my law school class, leading to clerkships with Justice Paul M. Newby at the Supreme Court of North Carolina and for Judge Craig Whitley at the Bankruptcy Court in the Western District of North Carolina.

After clerking for six years, I joined Moon Wright & Houston, PLLC, a boutique bankruptcy firm in uptown Charlotte, where I represented corporate debtors in Chapter 11 bankruptcies, business owners, individuals, farmers, trustees, and parties in commercial litigation.

Being an entrepreneur at heart led me to open this firm. Here, I am able to provide you with big law firm qualifications without passing down the overhead of a high rise office and an army of paralegals and staff.
